Product description

Originally thought to belong to the philodendron family, it is often wrongly named the split-leaf philodendron. Young plants have fuller heart-shaped leaves, more mature plants develop holes called fenestrations or splits. Monstera deliciosa have long aerial roots that they use in the wild to help them get hold of trees, because of their weak stems.

Light: Medium to high indirect light.

Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry, try to avoid allowing your monstera to dry out completely. If it does, a good watering should bring it back as they are rather drought tolerant.

Humidity: High humidity is preferred, but regular household levels are usually adequate.

Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets if ingested. Insoluble calcium oxalates.
